ALL-STAR CLASSIC TO RE-AIR ON CSS

Regional sports cable network will re-air the VERSUS national telecast of the game on December 20 and 26

MOBILE, Ala. (Dec. 16) – The Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic, which enjoyed its first-ever live national television broadcast last Saturday on the VERSUS Network, will receive additional television exposure through a pair of re-airings of the game over the next couple of weeks.

Game officials announced on Wednesday that Comcast Sports Southeast (CSS), the regional sports cable network available in more than 5.9 million homes throughout a 12-state southeast region, will re-air the VERSUS broadcast on two occasions -- Sunday, December 20, at 10:30 a.m. CST and Saturday, December 26 at 3:30 p.m. CST.

“Obviously, we are very pleased that CSS will be re-airing this year’s All-Star Classic,” said All-Star Classic Executive Director Vic Knight. “While the game was originally broadcast into more than 70 million homes nationally by VERSUS, this will give additional exposure to all of this year’s players, the Mobile area and our generous sponsors who supported the event.”

As of Wednesday, exactly one-half of the 74 players on the Alabama and Mississippi All-Star Classic team rosters have now verbally committed to attend SEC and other FBS schools next fall.
